I have laid out two 310 watt solar power modules on the terrace of my Barcelona apartment. Using two Enphase IQ7+ microinverters, I am injecting the power into a plug in my kitchen. Unfortunately the terrace is at the bottom of a 5 storey-deep shaft,
and the amount of excited photons that make it all the way down is minimal. I was trying to get permission to install a real solar power system on my part of the shared roof of the building but I ran into nothing but barriers.
I brought over the equipment I had from Thailand partially to make a reasonable amount of power and partially as a software and hardware exercise with a Wifi-enabled Sonoff power swtich / meter, the Tasmota open source firmware for Sonoff devices, the MQTT Internet of Things messaging system, the Mosquitto MQTT broker, the Node-RED event wiring tool, a MySQL database, PHP scripts, JavaScript and the Google Chart graphing objects.
